Role: Technical Support Engineering

Location: Bangalore

Responsibilities

  • Response and Resolution: You are responsible for owning, investigating, and resolving customer technical issues while interacting inside and across teams and utilising troubleshooting tools and processes.
  • Readiness: You lead or engage in community-building activities with peer delivery responsibilities, and you share your knowledge as needed.
  • Through training and preparation, you get specialised technical and professional skills that will allow you to resolve customer difficulties. Technical Support Engineering job available 
  • Product/Process Improvement: You detect potential product faults and escalate them as needed to rectify them, thereby contributing to Microsoft product enhancements.

Required

  • Understanding of Microsoft Azure Platform services (IaaS), including Virtual Machines, VMSS (virtual machine scale sets), Azure Encryption, Image Builder, Compute Gallery, Azure Storage, and Azure Portal – Administration and Troubleshooting. Technical Support Engineering job available 
  • Azure Platform’s development and deployment lifecycle.
  • Experience with technologies like PowerShell, Netmon, Fiddler, and CLI (command-line interfaces).
  • Understanding of virtualisation ideas and virtual system management (configuration and administration of Hyper-V, VMware, and Xen).

Operating System – Windows and Linux

  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Security, and Operating Systems Internal principles for Windows and Linux include OS troubleshooting, performance, updates, RDP/SSH, licensing, and booting. Additionally, understanding of virtualisation and virtual system administration is required.

Networking

  • Understanding of networking principles such as VIPs (virtual IP), NAT (network address translation), and DNS.
  • Experience with networking tools (ping, tracer, tracemon, wire shark, etc.)
  • Understanding of load balancing and VPN (virtual private network) technology is preferred.
  • Understanding of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model and related topics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 1+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience OR 3+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience. OR equivalent experience
  • VMWare Certification.
